Air France A380 Engine blown out over Atlantic ocean

An Air France, flight #AF66 safely landed at Goose Bay Airport in Canada after suffering an uncontained engine failure over Atlantic ocean.

The aeroplane departed from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, France, to Los Angeles Airport, USA, was diverted to Goose Bay, Canada, when it was flying across the Atlantic over Southeast Greenland.

The plane was carrying 520 passengers and 24 crew at the time of the incident.
This is the second major uncontained engine failure in mid-flight. In 2010, Qantas A380 Flight 32 suffered an uncontained engine failure when it was flying from Singapore to Sydney which was powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engine.
